Common questions

Go to Settings, then tap your household name. You will see a 6-digit invite code. Share that code with the person you want to add. They open NAB, choose "Join a household", and enter the code. You will both see the same transactions within seconds.
Your data is still there. After the trial ends, NAB enters read-only mode. You can see everything you entered but cannot add new transactions until you unlock the app. Your data stays in read-only mode for 30 days before any deletion. Unlock NAB for $4.99 to continue budgeting.
Tap the "Unlock NAB" button that appears in the app after your trial ends. The $4.99 purchase is processed through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). You pay once and the app is unlocked permanently with no further charges.
Yes. Sign in with the same email address on any device and your household data will be there. All household members see the same transactions in real time. One purchase unlocks NAB on all your devices.
When adding a transaction, toggle on "Make recurring" at the bottom of the form. Choose a frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or yearly). NAB will create a pending reminder on the due date. You confirm it when you are ready, which logs the transaction. You can manage your recurring templates in Settings.
Go to Settings and tap "Export data". Choose whether you want your transactions only or all household transactions. Select a date range and tap Export. A CSV file is generated and shared via your device's native share sheet. You can save it to Files, send it to email, or open it in a spreadsheet app.
Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Country and currency" under the Household section. Changing the currency updates how amounts are displayed for all household members. The underlying numbers stay the same. Note that NAB supports one currency per household.
No. NAB does not connect to banks or financial institutions. You enter transactions manually. This is intentional. Your banking credentials and account numbers never touch NAB's servers. Manual entry keeps you in control and aware of every dollar.
Go to Settings and tap "Restore purchase". This checks with the App Store or Google Play to confirm your payment and unlocks the app. If that does not work, email us at support@nabbudget.com with your purchase receipt and we will sort it out.
Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. Tap "Delete account". This permanently removes your profile and all household data immediately. This action cannot be undone. Export your data first if you want a copy.

Getting the most from NAB

Log in the moment
The best time to log a transaction is right when it happens. Open the app, tap the + button, enter the amount. It takes about 10 seconds.

Set up recurring items first
Add your rent, mortgage, and regular subscriptions as recurring transactions. NAB will remind you to confirm them each period.

Tag who spent it
Use the Person field when adding a transaction. This lets you filter by household member and see each person's spending separately.

Check history monthly
The History screen shows 6 months of income vs expenses side by side. A quick review at month end shows where you are tracking differently from plan.
